May 7th, 2023-Albuquerque, NM Greg Johns’ signature song, Rodeo Hippie, took home the award for
Best Western Song at the 36th Annual New Mexico Music Awards. The song comes from his 2022 album, Now and Then. The album also produced two other nominations. One for Best Country Music Album and one for Best Original Song for Winfield Songs and Dreams.
The New Mexico Music Awards has recognized excellence in music produced in New Mexico annually since 1986 and holds it’s awards banquet and show held in Albuquerque. This is Greg’s first album in 30 years
